X-Men Origins: Deadpool

After being impressed with X-Men Origins: Maverick 1:18 action figure, I am about to be blown away with X-Men Origins: Deadpool
X-Men Origins: Deadpool
I admit. I had to do a crash course on Deadpool just shortly before this review and I understand why Deadpool is so popular. The Crimson Comedian. The Regeneratin’ Degenerate. The Merc with a Mouth, himself.

X-Men Origins: Deadpool

The figure, itself, 1 is similar in construction to X-Men Origins: Maverick but, get this, Deadpool has fingers!

Deadpool comes with 2 swords, an over-sized Sai, a 1911 type pistol, and a very detailed AK47!

Compared with other AK-47 rifles, Deadpool’s AK-47 is better detailed. It is somewhat larger and lacks a butt stock but it is so detailed it even has wood grains on its foregrip. Deadpool’s AK-47 is a definite must-have item.
X-Men Origins: Deadpool

Deadpool’s Sai is over sized and it reminds me of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in terms of scale. It is almost like a sword! I estimate it should be half its size to be accurate in scale. Well, we can not win them all, I guess.

Deadpool, the Merc with a Mouth, himself, is detailed and his harness can be removed, assuming you do not mind damaging it. There will definitely be lots of possibilities there. Deadpool at the dissection lab, anyone?
Actually, that is for the 2nd series when they release a bare Deadpool.

X-Men Origins: Deadpool
I find the scabbards a little too high but Deadpool does not seem to mind, thanks to softer plastic. Though, I am not sure if that is a good thing in a sword fight.

X-Men Origins: Deadpool
Well, Deadpool’s AK-47 is fine and all, but it doe not fit him, literally. It has something to do with the large grip. Yes, its weight is a little off. It must be because of that darned tracking beacon.

X-Men Origins: Deadpool
So, X-Men Origins: Deadpool gets to pick a better gun from the Armoury.

In the figure construction department, bending his leg is unconventional, compared to X-Men Origins: Maverick. It entails twisting the leg outwards…

…then moving it along the stripe on the ball joints and twisting the legs inwards again.

X-Men Origins: Deadpool
X-Men Origins: Deadpool is an absolute must have item for this year. If not for the X-Men Origins: Wolverine movie, then, for the Deadpool action figure alone. If not, for the AK-47, then. I bought a second Deadpool so I get to keep the AK-47!
Though, I am sure Deadpool’s charming personality is more than enough reason to get this action figure.

I agree, that AK-47 is nicely detailed. (Though it’s gonna be a mother when you start firing it, what with no stock to cushion the recoil, hehe). Deadpool must be really that good to fire such a stock-less AK with one hand!

I prefer to have him armed with either a machine pistol or SMG.

And yes, the sai is rather oversized. If it’s only the right scale, Deadpool would be bought just to arm your Ice Viper with a sai! :)

Or armed with Skrull weapons like in the new comic series ;)

Stockless AKs is not improbable. Just look at pics from the middle East.

Sai is still too big for 1:18

Yeah, it is. Perhaps Deadpool can borrow an Ice Viper’s sai? Looks like it is closer, if not the right, scale.

[Of course, the Ice Viper's sai is harder to find than the Deadpool action figure :D]

I know im slap happy people just tell me what hobbies your fathers have for this coming holiday please please. Actually I just need your opinions on what to get dad for fathers day.
