Vipers, Vipers, 25th Vipers

Ever since Cobra “re-structured” and got rid of the old trooper uniforms, the Viper has been the backbone of Cobra’s Infantry.

It was not a really hot item back in ‘86 with its minimal accessories but it made up for it in numbers in comics and cartoons.
As an army builder, it’s a minimum requirement!

Along the way, Cobra learned to specialise its Viper army into different functions. Of course, being the best means a ticket out and probably into the SieGie (Crimson Guards) program.

The Cobra 25th line came out with Vipers but there were some observations. Most notable of which, is the angled wrist which limits poseability. I did not find it that bad but it was fixed anyway.

Below are the most noteworthy Vipers, starting with the 25th line.

The Air Viper:

Not exactly my favourite Viper but…it is not that bad. I can accept the reason that the red suit is for pilot training purposes. Good work on the black helmet and rifle.

The Heavy Weapons Viper

About time Cobra came up with a basic SAW gunner. I would like to think of it as basic training for SAW Vipers.
Love the vest.
(Mental note: must get more of those vests)

The Arctic Viper

Not bad. Love the colour combination. I will definitely make this a must have Viper.

The Fuchsia Viper

A pre-production Viper that was supposed to be Red. But it turned fuchsia.
Since they do not come with filecards, I really am at a loss what function they serve.
I mean, the Baroness is hardcore so I doubt she needs Vipers-in-waiting. Zarana is too much of a rebel to even want some order.
Punishment roles before Desert Scorpions and Toxo Vipers, anyone?

Can you name all of them ?

So many possibilities…

I am definitely making different Vipers as they are cheap to get.
However, I should make one important rule.
No dominant Reds and Fuchsia!
